An Annual General Meeting Conference of the PFA NT Branch was held on Friday 22 August 2025 and a motion was moved and passed to amend the PFA NT Branch Rules.
This amendment was required following the Australian Electoral Commission’s Post-Election Report (E2024/196), which identified ambiguity in Rule 52DO(11) of the Police Federation of Australia Rules. The change inserts a new sub-rule confirming that the system of voting in any election conducted under this rule shall be the first-past-the-post system.
This amendment aligns the PFA Rules with the existing provisions of the NTPA Constitution and ensures compliance with the requirements of the Fair Work (Registered Organisations) Act 2009.
